Delete Your Account
You can permanently delete your Podshot account and all associated data at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1 - In the app (fastest)
- Open the Podshot app on your phone.
- Go to Profile → Settings → Manage account.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the prompt. Your account is deleted immediately.
Option 2 - By email
If you can't access the app, email us from the address registered on your account and we'll delete it for you within 30 days.

What gets deleted
- Your profile (name, email, avatar)
- All podshots you've created
- Listening history and progress
- Followed podcasts and saved episodes
- Subscription records and promotional trial history
- AI processing consent record
- Push notification preferences
Your account is removed from our active systems immediately. Routine encrypted backups roll off on the standard backup retention cycle (typically within 30 days). Account deletion cannot be undone.
If you signed in with Apple
Deleting your Podshot account removes your data from our systems, but your Apple ID still has a record that you previously signed in to Podshot. If you'd like to revoke that grant as well, go to appleid.apple.com → Sign-In and Security → Sign in with Apple, find Podshot, and tap Stop using Apple ID.
Active subscriptions
Deleting your Podshot account does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google directly - you need to cancel them in your device's subscription settings:
Cancel your subscription before deleting your account so you don't get charged for a period you can no longer access.
Data we retain
We may retain minimal records (invoices, audit logs) for legal and tax compliance as required by applicable law. These records do not include your profile, content, or usage data. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
